For more than three decades, Martin has been driving home an important message to his clients and prospects: time is running out – and he has the experience to prove it.

Independent Insurance Representative

Martin began practicing as a financial advisor in 1987. He spent the first 18 months of his practice in South Africa, where critical illness insurance was introduced long before it arrived in Canada. Consequently, Martin has facilitated more insurance claims than most of his Canadian colleagues and he has witnessed enough anguish to know how essential it is to prepare for the worst. He has also acquired the experience to confidently address the needs of special-risk clients with health issues.

Committed to Helping Educate

While dealing with a tragedy is never easy, without preparation it can be completely debilitating, both financially and emotionally. That’s why Martin does what he does. Committed to helping Canadians establish safety nets that protect them, their families and businesses, he strives to educate his clients and prospects. Each time he helps an individual see the value in having a safety net, he considers his mission achieved, regardless of whether or not a prospect becomes a client.

Independent and Unbiased

As an independent broker, Martin has the flexibility of being able to select solutions from a number of different carriers. His clients value his unbiased, needs-based recommendations, as well as his tendency to tailor investment advice towards conservatism, and his association with other reputable professional advisors. They also enjoy the peace of mind afforded by Martin’s integrity and privacy, his emphasis on compliance, and the succession plan he has created to ensure uninterrupted service in the event an emergency renders him unavailable.

Martin has been able to offer mutual funds since 1997. He has been a member of Advocis (The Financial Advisors Association of Canada) since 1990 and a member of IFBC (Independent Financial Brokers of Canada) since 2004. Furthermore, since 1998 he has been a Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table and a Life and Qualifying Member since 2007. These memberships recognize his extraordinary standard of excellence in the life insurance and financial service sector.

Personal Pursuits

On a personal note, Martin greatly values the time he spends with his family. He also enjoys nature, photography, cars and technology, leveraging the latter to provide efficient service while maximizing the protection of his clients’ privacy.
